The Ubiquiti UDB-Switch is a compact multi-gigabit PoE+ switch with built-in WiFi 7 wireless bridging, designed to extend a UniFi network to locations where running a cable is impractical. Rather than requiring a wired uplink, the UDB-Switch can connect to an existing UniFi WiFi 7 access point wirelessly and provide a full downstream PoE switch for cameras, access points, IoT devices, and other PoE equipment at the remote end.
The switch side offers 7x 2.5Gbps PoE+ ports and 1x 10Gbps port, all PoE+ capable, giving enough headroom for high-bandwidth devices. The wireless uplink uses the 5GHz and 6GHz bands via UniFi WiFi Auto-Link, which automates adoption and bridging without manual configuration. STR MLO for simultaneous aggregated use of both bands is supported and will be enabled via a future firmware update.
It is important to note that the built-in WiFi radio functions exclusively as a wireless client bridge and cannot operate as a standalone access point. When connected via wired uplink instead, the UDB-Switch functions as a standard managed UniFi switch.
PoE budget depends on the power supply in use: the included 60W adapter provides 35W of total PoE output, while the optional UACC-PSU-210W raises this to 185W for deployments with multiple powered devices. Each port individually supports up to 30W (802.3at PoE+).
The UDB-Switch is managed through the UniFi Network Application (version 10.0 or later) alongside the rest of your UniFi infrastructure.
