Ubiquiti USL-Gateway SuperLink Wireless Gateway

The Ubiquiti USL-Gateway is a long-range, low-latency wireless gateway that extends UniFi Protect sensor coverage far beyond what standard Bluetooth can reach. It runs two radios simultaneously: a Bluetooth 5.2 radio for short-range compatibility with legacy UP-Sense devices, and Ubiquiti's proprietary SuperLink radio for long-range sensor connectivity with a line-of-sight range of up to 2km.

The purpose of the USL-Gateway is to centralise sensor communication for a deployment rather than relying on each sensor connecting through the nearest access point. A single unit supports up to 96 SuperLink sensors and up to 7 UP-Sense (BLE) devices, and multiple gateways can be deployed across a site with no limit, with sensors automatically connecting to whichever gateway has the strongest signal.

SuperLink is optimised specifically for sensor workloads, delivering lower latency and better power efficiency than standard BLE across longer distances, making it well suited to outdoor deployments, large facilities, and perimeter monitoring where sensors may be spread over hundreds of metres or more.

Installation is straightforward: the unit mounts to a wall or DIN rail and is powered by a single PoE cable (802.3af), with a USB-C power input as an alternative where a PoE switch port is not available. It is adopted and managed through the UniFi Protect application alongside cameras and other UniFi Protect devices.

Note: PoE adapter and USB-C adapter are not included.
